Sixth edition of the Polish construction market survey

PMR Research was commissioned by PMR Publications to carry out the sixth semi-annual survey of the Polish construction industry. PMR Research conducted 112 interviews with the senior management of the largest construction companies operating in Poland. The companies were chosen based on their workforce size and annual revenues. The survey was conducted with the aid of the CATI (computer assisted telephone interviewing) technique.

The main aims of the project were as follows:
  • to evaluate the current situation in the Polish construction sector,
  • to assess the prospects for the sector’s development,
  • to gauge how Poland's EU membership has affected the operations of construction companies,
  • to gather insider opinions on steps the government should take to improve the situation in the Polish construction industry,
  • to provide a forecast of key financial indicators for the construction market, including: construction and assembly output, prices of building materials and sector employment rate,
  • to identify the greatest barriers to conducting business in the construction sector,
  • to identify the greatest stimulants of business success in the sector,
  • to assess the financial standing and to review the investment plans of the largest Polish companies in the sector.
