The publications division of PMR (
www.pmrpublications.com) has commissioned PMR Research to conduct its survey "ERP, CRM, IT and telecommunications in medium-sized and large Polish companies". The survey used a representative sample of 455 Polish companies employing 250 people or more. The research technique employed was the telephone interview, and the respondents for the most part the companies' IT directors or their deputies. The level of response within the sample was very high (79%), which ensured that the data obtained from the research were highly accurate and representative.
The key aims of the project were as follows:
- to define the level of use of management support software (ERP - software supporting the functioning of the most important areas of company activity, such as accounts, personnel and payroll, etc., and CRM - software supporting contacts with clients) among Polish companies employing 250 or more people
- to define the frequency of use among the companies in the sample of certain telecommunications services - internet access and Voice over IP telephony
- to obtain information on the level of computerisation in the companies polled (including number of computer workstations, number of computers per 100 employees, etc.).
